Can you please post the result of the show flash command? The .bin is most likely stored in a folder with the same name as the IOS file. e.g flash:/ios/ios.bin

If you want to "backup" your IOS, go to the Cisco website and download the complete TAR file.

As to you can't find your IOS, like what previous poster has commented, the BIN file is most likely stored in a sub-directory.

Do this:

1.  dir flash:c2960<HIT TAB>

2.  Press enter.

Your .bin file will be in this directory
