Hi,
I have a 7200 and I have changed the configuration from an interface f0/0.1 to interface f0/0 with the same configuration.
It happens that the load of cpu is increased up to 80% from 25%.
The ip cef is enabled.
I don't know why.
Regards.
Thank you.

Hi,
I try to do the command show ip interface f0/0 e f0/0.1 and I noticed only a difference (
"IP fast switching on the same interface is enabled" in f0/0.1 and "disabled" in the f0/0) as you can see:

Nevertheless I put this command on interface f0/0 and the load of CPU remain the same (about 90%).
What can I do?
Thanks

It would also be nice to have a "show proc cpu sorted" and "show interface fa0/0 switching".
Thanks,

Hi, I notice you are running policy routing. Do you have many hits on this feature? Have you tried to enable fast switching for policy routing?
"ip route-cache policy"

No, I'll try.
I let you know something.
Thanks.
