Wireless Lan Controller
Throughput: The quoted wireless controller must have 40Gbps throughput
Interfaces: Wireless controller must have 2 × GE SFP portS
2 x 10G SFP+ ports (Module: 2 x 10G Multi mode optical SFP+)
Support for: 1 x management interface along with 1 x USB port or more
Power Supplies: Redundant Power Supplies
Clients: Users to be supported by wireless controller must be 15,000 or more
Licenses:
• The quoted Controller must have license for 64 APs at least or more
• The quoted controller must have a capacity to manage at least 1500 APs
Wireless user isolation: Layer-2 isolation
CAPWAP:
• The quoted controller must assign basic AP network parameter through WLAN controller
• Controller must support WLAN controller discovery using DHCP and provide NAT traversal between AP and Controller
Roaming:
• The controller must be efficient enough to handle the roaming clients and handoff the clients to the other AP seamlessly and
ensure the end user experience is uninterrupted upon both layer 2 and layer3 (Inter and Intra AP)
Gateway:
• Controller must provide the gateway features in order to allow the internal users to communicate with the outer world.
Security:
• Controller must defend the network against multiple types of attacks mainly Flooding
• The controller must provide Wireless Intrusion Prevention Systems (WIPS)
Redundancy:
• Must support 1+1 Failover between wireless controller. No additional Licenses for APs required for the second controller added in
HA.
Intelligently APs must be shared among WLAN controllers in order to provide optimized AP and its related traffic handling.
