I am verifying an inventory for a client for which my company is upgrading the network equipment. I have a few serial numbers without the model number on my inventory and wanted to know how I can look up a device and get the model number. I do not have access to the switches in question and was hoping this was available on cisco's web site..

This doesn't work unless you are a part of that company. When I search the SN, it just shows that it exists, but doesn't provide any information on the model type.

if you want ot check cisco model number with Serial number, you have to login into cisco account and click on add device, then put serial number in it, and it will show prouduct id and you wil find model number.

You are the MVP here. This worked perfectly.
The Serial Number look up just told me it had no warranty with exactly zero information. But when I added the device, boom, it gave me the model number.
Thanks!
