IE 2000 LAN Lite Type 6 Passwords

I am in the process of making sure our type 7 keys are changed to type 6. To do this I use the "key config-key password-encryption" and "password encryption aes". I have not had any issues until I reached our IE 2000 industrial switches. We have upgraded to 15.2(8)E5 and the conversion has worked on all our IE switches with the exception of our IE-2000-4TS-L model switches. When I try to run those commands they are not available for these switches. I assume it has something to do with the licensing as these are the only ones running LAN Lite. is the LAN Lite license the reason those commands are not available? Having trouble finding documentation on this.

I also believe the issue is likely related to the LAN Lite vs. LAN Base licensing, though I haven't been able to find confirmation specific to your case. Based on what I’ve seen, upgrading to LAN Base is possible for some IE 2000 models, so if you have a Cisco rep, they might be able to confirm whether it's an option for your switch. With the EOL for that model being July 26, 2024, it may depend on whether you still have support for it.
