Import and export configuration from old to newer cisco models ?

Hello everyone,

We currently have the following switches:

Cisco Catalyst Cisco WS-C3560X-48 (main with all config) connected via trunk two 2960-s models, one in the same office and the other in a different building.

If we were to upgrade the first 2 switches to a single cisco 3650-48 ports, will we be able to export the config and import it seamlessly without having to reconfigure the vlans and everything ? Considering the fact that we will still have the 2960-S in the other building?

Will the trunk connection still work with the other older models ?

 - Trunk  will work , probably better to setup in stages, configure basic trunk configuration first and test, then others such as vlans etc ,  blind-copy-config is not advised.
