Instead of VTP , what protocol can be used for non Cisco switches?

Hi

 VTP (Virtual Tunnel Protocol) is Cisco proprietary but later on IEEE develop the 802.1Q which have the same functionality. If you whant check the device support trunk, you need to look at 802.1Q support.  Then, you need to look at vendor documentation to see  how they implement 802.1Q on their switches.

Not Much Familiar deployment as i am aware of this industry  if the Multi vendor  you need to look below :  MVRP
