Inter-vlan ping problem

I got 2x4500x with vss with all our vlan on it.   4 management core are connected to it. 

Core 1 management vlan 901 with stack 3750x
Core 2 management vlan 902 with stack 3750g
Core 3 management vlan 903 with stack 3750g
Core 4 management vlan 904 with stack 3750x

From the switch in vlan 901, i'm able to ping the SVI .1 of vlan 904 but not host in this subnet.
From the switch in vlan 904, i'm able to ping the SVI .1 of vlan 901 but not host in this subnet.
From the 4500 i'm able to ping everybody in the subnet

Pinging 901 to host in 902,903 OK
Pinging 901 to host in 904 NOT WORKING
Pinging 902 to host in 901,903,904 OK
Pinging 903 to host in 901,902,904 OK
Pinging 904 to host in 902,903 OK
Pinging 904 to host in 901 NOT WORKING

Ip route on 4500x

172.31.0.0/16 is variably subnetted, 10 subnets, 2 masks
C        172.31.16.0/24 is directly connected, Vlan900
L        172.31.16.1/32 is directly connected, Vlan900
C        172.31.64.0/24 is directly connected, Vlan901
L        172.31.64.1/32 is directly connected, Vlan901
C        172.31.128.0/24 is directly connected, Vlan902
L        172.31.128.1/32 is directly connected, Vlan902
C        172.31.192.0/24 is directly connected, Vlan903
L        172.31.192.1/32 is directly connected, Vlan903
C        172.31.224.0/24 is directly connected, Vlan904
L        172.31.224.1/32 is directly connected, Vlan904

Any idea ?

To clarify, the 3750 switch stacks are just Layer 2 and the default gateways for the hosts are the SVI interfaces on the 4500x VSS switches?

Presumably you are not using any form of Vlan pruning on the Trunk links between the 3750 switches and the 4500's?

3750 got is own ip address in the management vlan 90x to the SVI on the 4500. The problem i cannot ping ip address from switch 1 (901) .2  to switch 4 (904) .2

Presumably you are not using any form of Vlan pruning on the Trunk links between the 3750 switches and the 4500's? NO  VTP Transparent
