Interoperability between cisco switch and aruba AP

I am having some aruba AP connected to a cisco switch.

When the switchport is configured as "switchport mode access" we can ping the ip.

But if we use "switchport mode trunk" and "native vlan", the aruba ap can get ip, but we cannot ping it.

Has anybody encountered this issue or can he or she give suggestions?

Since you config port as trunk and native vlan x'

Then this vlan must be native in all other trunk of SW' otherwise you face strange traffic behave as you have now.

I guess i need to check the trunk between the switch and firewall.

Do you check ifthe Aruba AP has the correct VLAN configuration, including the native VLAN. This might involve checking the AP's interface settings and any VLAN tagging settings.

No it doesnt help.

The aruba ap is tagged as vlan 0 which is untagged.

When the switchport is configured as "switchport mode access" we can ping the ip.

But if we use "switchport mode trunk" and "native vlan", the aruba ap can get ip, but we cannot ping it.

I believe it is compatibility issue between cisco and aruba.
