Hi!
I am having stupid understanding of something. May be someone can help me as I am trying to understand flow of network not configured by me.
I have layer 2 and Layer 3 network. I have SVI for different vlans and I have Vlan for Internet
Vlan 302 name Internet.
I can see that this Vlan is in access mode on distribution layer and I cannot find any SVI for this in our network.
The last point of cable I tracked is from cisco 4509 switch port which is going to provide equipment. I guess its juniper as per MAC address vendor lookup.
The switch port on our side is in access mode.
Is it possible that the SVI is on our Provide network equipment?
How my clients sitting in different vlan can access Internet which is in pointing to vlan 302?
Thanks

I got the information that the SVI is configured on provider side.

Hello,
chances are that your provider has implemented a layer 2 MPLS network, where traffic is tagged by MAC address and not IP address. What is the default gateway (if there is one) on your Vlan 302 clients ?

Hi!
Thanks for looking on this.
The public IP is configured in ASA and its pointing to Provider side Public IP as gateway.
User machine -> Switched Network (Access mode Vlan 302)-> CISCO ASA (Outside Interface is configured with Public IP.
ASA Inside is configured with 192.168.1.130 and its pointing to SVI in our switched network and its vlan 400.

Hello,
an ipconfig/all on your clients should tell you where the layer 3 (SVI) is configured...can you post the output of that ?
