IOS Image For Cisco C1-C4507R+E

Hi Everyone,

Currently I am installing Cisco C1-C4507R+E  for our costumer.

They purchase Image with code "S45EU-S8-310E" and description "CAT4500E SUP8E Universal Image".

It is shipped with IOS-XE with CAT4500E SUP9E/ 8E/8L-E Universal Image (cat4500es8-universal.SPA.03.11.02.E.152-7.E2.bin) which is not support SSH (crypto). And based on description my assumption is they purchase the product without crypto support.

My question is does "S45EU-S8-310E" able to download & use CAT4500E SUP9E/ 8E/8L-E Universal Crypto Image.

Because the user do not want to use image that not support SSH for authentication.

Talk to the vendor who sold the equipment and see if the serial number is attached to a valid Service Contract which you are a part of.

Maybe my question not really clear since I am not familiar with our presales or sales term.

I want to confirm does Cisco C1-C4507R+E with license Cisco One Foundation are able to use IOS-XE image with crypto capabilities (CAT4500E SUP9E/ 8E/8L-E Universal Crypto Image).

You do not need license to use crpto feature set.
