Hi,

Can someone please explain why can't see I the IOS image in the flash? I have also tried a factory data reset but I still cannot see the file. These are the steps I took to verify:

  • My priv level is 15, so I should be able to see all the files.
  • The image is supposedly present in the file as per this command: ( I formated the flash to be sure and reloaded the router and it still booted from the image which was surprising)

Cisco IOS Software, 1841 Software (C1841-ADVENTERPRISEK9-M), Version 12.4(24)T2, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)
Technical Support: http://www.cisco.com/techsupport
Copyright (c) 1986-2009 by Cisco Systems, Inc.
Compiled Mon 19-Oct-09 16:11 by prod_rel_team

ROM: System Bootstrap, Version 12.4(13r)T8, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

Router uptime is 1 minute
System returned to ROM by reload at 10:56:04 UTC Sat Jan 30 2016
System image file is "flash:c1841-adventerprisek9-mz.124-24.T2.bin"

Router#sh flash
-#- --length-- -----date/time------ path

23465984 bytes available (40538112 bytes used)

But the sh flash shows no files at all.

  • Secure Bootset is not configured

Router#show secure boot
%IOS image and configuration resilience is not active

  • These are all the filesystems and the content in those:

Router#dir all-filesystems

Could be an IOS bug.

Please post the complete output to the command "dir".
