Pls be specific which IOS?

(1)Give the hardware (router/switch etc)

(2)Specify the version(12.3, 12.4)

(3)Its IPbase, IP Plus, Advance security?

thnks

but this link gives me the feature set but not the service enable by default

like ip http service enable or disabled

or tcp small service enable or disabled

waiing for ur response

Hi

Thats a good one.So far I have heard only about "IP Routing" is enabled by default which does not reflect in the active running config. It is hard to say that what will be the default service which will be enabled.

Every IOS set has different "default" values. For Eg. a C1721 with 12.2 IP Plus has following :

service timestamps debug datetime msec

service timestamps log datetime msec

no service password-encryption

logging queue-limit 100

ip subnet-zero

ip cef

ip audit notify log

ip audit po max-events 100

ip classless

This may vary with a C2600 config 12.3

service timestamps debug datetime msec

service timestamps log datetime msec

no service password-encryption

boot-start-marker

boot-end-marker

no network-clock-participate slot 1

no network-clock-participate wic 0

no aaa new-model

ip subnet-zero

ip cef

no ftp-server write-enable

control-plane

ip audit notify log

ip audit po max-events 100

But these commands are visible in show running-config. unlike ip routing. You can always negate a running command.

There is no written document about this, hence I am not able to explain more. But above is what I have concluded. Also it will be a great help if you can tell me" what you want to do?"

Regards

JD

thanks for your response JD

what i want to know is there any tool which gives me the default services enabled on a SUP 720 when using an IOS "s72033-jk9sv-mz.122-18.SXD.bin"

these services will not be seen in the running config of the router say for example

tcp small-server & UDP small-server these small services are enabled by default before version 11.3 but later they are disabled

waiting for ur reply
