IOS upgrade in 4506

Hi All,

I'm not able to upgrade my 4506 switch.

problem is: my earlier IOS is in inbuilt flash & now I have uploaded my new IOS to Flash0. we have changed the boot sequence to flash 0 & after restart it goes to ROMMON.

Can u please let me know which command I need use or if any document is available.

Hi

Pl check the IOS using the command dir slot0:

For boot from  rommon mode

boot system slot0:

then check the config register values

should be 0X2102

Hi Ganesh,

Boot process involves two software images: ROM monitor and supervisor engine system code. When the switch is powered up or reset, the ROM-monitor code is executed. Depending on the nonvolatile RAM (NVRAM) configuration, the switch either stays in ROM-monitor mode or loads the supervisor engine system code.
