IOS upgrade path for 2901 and 2921 routers

My devices are currently running 15.4.1 and I need to upgrade to the latest IOS. Is there a suggested upgrade path or can I just jump to the latest version 15.5?

You can jump to 15.5 directly.

Well, Reza, already told you that you can. But do you really have to? Why do you have to go to the "latest IOS" and what do you mean by latest?

The latest IOS in your release-train is 15.4(3)M2 and that's probably much more stable than the newest 15.5-release.
