I want to change my ip domain name in my switch from angle.com to angel.com, currently my show cdp neighbours shows all connected devices as xxxxxxx.angle.com.

what needs to be considered before changing the domain.

Changing the domain name should not effect anything.  The CDP will provide the correct domain name after 60 seconds.

My concern will I loose my telnet/ssh connection when I change my domain as ssh/crypto key is mapped to domain. Currently I dont have console access to the switch. I am doing remote changes.

Hi Naresh,

My experience is that your current SSH session will not go down even if you change the domain name. On 12.4T and 15.3 IOSes I have tested, when you changed the domain name, the key name was changed automatically as well. It would be best you had the opportunity to test this on a safe device - you can always see the names of your RSA keys in the show crypto key mypubkey rsa command output.
