When applying 'ip multicast boundaries' and an ACL following; Does that ACL block IN or OUT traffic? Or both?

Thank you for the link but when I try to apply the command to the interface, I am not givin a choice as to which direction I would like to apply the ACL to. Meaning the most I am able to do w/ the command is

'rtr-penn-msfc1(config-if)#ip multicast boundary 20'. When I use the '?' following the ACL, no more commands are listed. If I try to apply the command w/ an 'OUT' or 'IN' statement, I recieve an 'Unrecognized command'.

FYI - I am running Version 12.1(6)E

Hi Friend,

Option IN & OUT was added in 12.3(11)T and as you are running 12.1(6)E it will not be supported.

Can you post the output of

rtr-penn-msfc1(config-if)#ip multicast boundary ?

also can you post me the output with a message when you enter the ACL and hit enter

'rtr-penn-msfc1(config-if)#ip multicast boundary 20

Also post "sh version" from switch.

Regards,

Ankur
