One question about IP SLA is if I can (and should) use the same port for all my IP SLA monitors on my router.
I use an external tool to configure the IP SLA commands and it keeps telling me that the port is already used.
I just want to make sure that I can, indeed, use the same port for each monitor:
ip sla 114
udp-jitter 1.1.1.1 16384 source-ip 2.2.2.2source-port 16384 codec g711ulaw advantage-factor 4
tos 184
timeout 60000
owner NetFlow
ip sla 114
udp-jitter 1.1.1.2 16384 source-ip 2.2.2.2source-port 16384 codec g711ulaw advantage-factor 4
tos 184
timeout 60000
owner NetFlow
ip sla 114
udp-jitter 1.1.1.3 16384 source-ip 2.2.2.2source-port 16384 codec g711ulaw advantage-factor 4
tos 184
timeout 60000
owner NetFlow
ip sla 114
udp-jitter 1.1.1.4 16384 source-ip 2.2.2.2source-port 16384 codec g711ulaw advantage-factor 4
tos 184
timeout 60000
owner NetFlow
Thanks

Joerg,
I would think it would depend on if these are all scheduled at the same time. If they're scheduled independently of each other and not all running at the same time, you should be okay.

John,
if the destination is different for each of the monitors, does it matter if they use the same destination port?
thanks

Same desination port wouldn't matter because you're going to different destinations. Same source port on the same router to different destinations would cause an issue because the port would already be in use if another SLAs schedule were to hit and needed to be ran at the same time another one was.
