IPv6 OSPF redistribution

Hi ALL,

I want to know is it the only way to use "redistribute connected" to introduce route from connected interface to OSPFv3 process?

Hi,

If these interfaces were into another routing protocol like EIGRPv6 or RIPng then you could do redistribute include-connected.Note: this is the default in IPV4 but not in IPv6.

Hi Alain,

My case is that those interface is customer interface and it not involved in other routing protocol!

So I guess "redistribute connected" should be the only way to do so as ipv6 ospf will not have "network" command.

Am I correct?

Hi,

You're correct this is the only way to redistribute them but you could make them part of the OSPF process and put the interface as passive.
