IR829 router is steady amber and cant console

Hii everyone,

i have a problem with my IR829 router when i power it on its steady amber and i am not being able to console it hence. I tried resetting it several time changed power adapters its still steady. Can anyone please help me in that regard! Thanks

Hello @Trojanthulung ,

I assume you are talking about the PWR LED. If my assumption is correct, then it seems that there is a hardware failure with your device. The alternative was that your device is in ROMMON, but you said you cannot access it on the console port. Please make sure your terminal is set to the default settings for the console port on Cisco devices - 9600, 8, N, 1.
