Is it possible to add a static route to an CISCO EPC3925

Dear Cisco-Community,

I am trying to add static route for 84.38.112.0/20 (255.255.240.0) to a second router (gateway) 192.168.0.253 but I found no way to add this in web interface of CISCO EPC3925 from my internet service provider. Not even in manual (cisco-epc3925-manual.pdf) is described how to add an static route or how to access the command line interface.

Is it possible to add a static route to an CISCO EPC3925? If yes, how can I do that? (I have full access to CISCO EPC3925)

Thanks in advance for your help,

Karl

Hello
Do you have a USB/RJ45 console cable? if so connect that cable between the console port of the rtr and a laptop/pc then by using a terminal emulation session such as putty you should be able to access the cli on the rtr and add the static route you desire.

Hello Paul,

thank you for your answer! No, I have not such USB/RJ45 console cable but I will buy one, if I know where to connect it.
Which of this port on my EPC3925 is for the management port?

I thought the USB port, would be the management port but in the manual I read that it is for connecting USB devices.

THANK YOU,

Hello
Unfortunately it seems this isn’t applicable  - It looks like the only way to access that router is via the GUI.

You say there is no option to add static routes correct?

Administration/management - select static ip ?

I did not find any option to add a static route via the web interface (GUI) but maybe it works with this:

I will check it and come back to you tomorrow!

Thank you in the meantime,
Karl

Hello Paul,
I tried VPN option yesterday but it did not succeed! But I found out that the USB port is a console port and so your first answer is correct. Maybe you have a tip which USB console cable I have to buy.

This one, I can not connect to my laptop because I need two USB type A connectors:

THANKS A MILLION for your help!

Best regards,
Karl
