Is it possible to use an ASA5505 as a router for routing or device connected to a cable modem?

I am new to networking, and I am not sure of the answer, but I noticed the other day working on my ASA5505, that the device supported router; however, is it able to be used as a router or the last demark device connected to a cable modem?

The map would look something like the following

Switch-->ASA-->cable modem

Absolutely. But it'd be ISP > ASA > switch.

Well ya... Same difference.

Thank you for answering my question. I thought that might be the case since I was going to use one of the GB ports; however, I was unsure of the capabilities of routing on the device.

Question, If I trace the line from my ISP - at what point would I want to use a router in front of my ASA?

Thank you.
