Hi all,
There is a electric power maintenance windows for our DC, so I need graceful shutdown all devices.
Is there a correct way to shutdown the nexus 7000? I also have ASA and FI in our DC.

Hi
no its a switch so it just needs to be disconnected here is a guide explaining it
The ASA should have a power switch at the back you could power it off first
Save all configs first

Hi Mark,
You are right, the only way to shutdown the switch is turning off the power.
I think maybe "poweroff module X" will work if turning module first but it is same to using power switch.

Poweroff Module x =:- will power off the module but not switch.
But there is no command to poweroff the chasiss.
you need to either do the power switch off or remove the cable from power socket.

Hello InayathUlla Sharieff,
Please verify if the Cisco Nexus 7000 can be remotely powered off.
Thanks.
