ISSU and prioritizing the supervisor card?

We have several 4500s that run SSO and ISSU. Because of some legacy equipment connected to the supervisor card, we want the top blade to become active so long as it's not in error. Each time we reload, the b/u supervisor is promoted to primary. Is there a priority command like in HSRP, or can we force the switch to always boot up using blade one?

We are running on Sup II, v 12.2(37)

Jimmy,

I don't believe there is a way to prioritize which supervisor will become active upon reboot. My understanding is that whichever supervisor comes up first will be active and the redundant supervisor will become standby. Slot numbers are not a factor (1&2).

If you find the supervisor in slot two comes up as active you can fail it over to the one in slot one by issuing the "redundancy force-switchover" command. It will reboot the second supervisor and the first will become active.

HTH,

Mark
