Issue with adding portchannel

Attached is the diagram:

Scenario : Currently we have connectivity between Switch 1 (Layer3) & Switch 2 (Layer 2) though 1 gig Port-channel 29. Switch 2 is connected to ASA 5585 through port channel 25 where the L3 is created.

Now the issue is we want to increase the capacity between Switch 1 & Switch 2 from 1 Gig to 4 Gig. But when we try to add additional ports in the port channel, it is not allowing to do so.

Need all you help and valuable suggestion on what could be the issue and how to troubleshoot.

Are you completely sure that new links which you try to add to exesting port-channel have same config? All of them?

Can you post their config also?

Yes, both ports  config are same. I want to know can we configure port channel between L2 & L3 device.

Hi Kamran,

You are getting any error while adding interface to port channel.

You can have port channel between L2 & L3 DEVICES, but the configuration should be identical on both ends (either L2 or L3) otherwise it will not work

You are trying to configure L2 or L3 port channels? As requested by Dragan could you please share configuration and any associated error while adding?
