Hi

Can you send the output of a "sh module".

Jon

what do you mean by sh module?

Hi

You should be able to run this command from enable mode.

if it's not available on the MSFC log onto the switch and run it. Are you running in Hybrid mode ie. IOS on MSFC and CatOS on switch ?

Please verify the minimum IOS version as recommended on the link below:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps708/prod_eol_notice0900aecd802e87bb.html

The IOS shown in your post is presumably the boot-version, not the actual IOS.

regards,

Leo

i cant map that boot-version by the related IOS

Can you post the complete output of "sh version"? The IOS version is in there as well.

Leo

This explains your problem, you will have to upgrade the IOS to a newer version.

Recommended is 12.1(26)E1.

regards,

Leo

Thank you for your time & response, I will upgrade the IOS and let you Know the results.

Hi

I'm not sure it is your IOS that needs upgrading. Could you confirm if you are running in hybrid mode because from the output above it looks like you are running CatOS v 6.2 on your supervisor.

In which case, referring back to Leo's link, you need CatOs 7.6(1) as a minimum to support the WS-X6548-GE-TX module.
