Jumbo frame best practice

trying to find some documentation on jumbo frame best practice.

I am currently investigating some issues on my network.  4500's at the core with MTU 9128 on all interfaces.  Downstream I am using 3850's and 2960x's.  These are not using Jumbo frames.  I want to make sure I have a clear understanding of the impact, with documentation, before I suggest setting jumbo frames on all of these switches.

thanks

All the connected interface to be supported and agreed with Jumbo Frames.

here is some good explanation :

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/switches/catalyst-6000-series-switches/24048-148.html

There is a good thread for reference :

  - Do you also know why you decide to do that ?
