I'm currently testing with a few 93360YC-FX2 switches running NXOS version 9.3(8) and trying to get Q-in-VNI running.
In terms of connectivity, this is working as expected and I'm able to trunk VLANs from "customer" devices across the N9Ks, but when I try to enable l2protocol tunneling on the customer-facing interface nothing appears to happen regardless of which protocol is being tunneled.
For example with STP or CDP tunneling the encap, decap and drop packet counts all remain at zero and the "customer" devices don't receive any BPDUs or CDP updates. Debugs on these customer devices confirm that they are being sent and if CDP is enabled or BPDU filtering disabled on the N9K interface, they are received and processed locally but still not tunneled across the fabric to the other customer device.
I've been through all of the documentation, guidelines and caveats I can find, but haven't see anything to suggest that this shouldn't work. Has anybody had any success with protocol tunneling on this platform, or any tips for troubleshooting further?
