Lan connectivity Alert !

Does the network LAN connectivity alert also work on the switch level clients? and how real time is it ? Or what alert would be best to use if I am trying to get real time/fastest way(I see 5 minutes under switchport alerts , need faster than that) to track clients getting disconnected from a switchport ?

Hello,

This alert will work on clients on the switch as well. The MX sends an ARP request to the client approximately every ten seconds to monitor its connectivity status. If the MX does not receive an ARP reply from the client after approximately 35 seconds, it considers the client to be disconnected.
