Hi,
Currently, I am working on a scenario, where we have Cisco 4507 as Core Switch and Cisco 3750X as Access Switch. HSRP has been configured between the Core Switches and on Access Switch Vlans have been configured and corresponding SVI is on Core Switch.
While Pinging to the CCTV Camera, we are getting Latency. Time for Ping response is random 230ms, 64ms, 255ms like this.
Some stations are connected to the Core Switch via SDH.
Any suggestions to overcome this issue or isolate this issue.

NA

Hi Nabeelcse07,
Can you please send us the network diagram to understand the network connectivity?

Please find attached Layout.
Please note that Distribution Switches are stacked together. from CCTV Equipment like Server one connection is going to Distribution Switch 1 and other is going to Distribution Switch 2.
ALL uplinks are fiber based with port configured as Trunk.
If you need any further info, please revert back.

Hi Nabeel,
Why didn't you configure VSS between both core switches?
Instead of using HSRP, VSS between the core switches will be a good option.
Then configure port channel between core switches and distribution switches/access switch.

Hi,
At this stage it is not possible to change the protocols we are using.
What could be the possible reason for this latency and ping drop issue? When I ping the HSRP gateway, I got latency there as well.

Nabeel Arshad
