We had an issue in the night on a N77k. it was reloaded due to a "lim hap reset". what is the "lim" service?

Hello Heinz,
LIM or logical Interface manager is designed as new component in NxOS to handle the logical interfaces. LIM is the component that will talk to EthPM (Ethernet Port Manager) and effectively manage all the interfaces in the system. LIM is designed to scale and incorporate optimizations keeping in view the scale requirements.
Hope it's clear.
Thank you.

Heinz,
I wouldn't bet much on Google to find such information to be honest.
We have internal documentation about it, but they're Cisco Highly Confidential documents.
A LIM HAP reset suggests me that you've suffered some kind of reload on your DC core switch. If so, and if you want it to be further investigated, you can open a service request with us, giving that you have a SMARTnet contract.
Thank you.
