I need to add a D-Link DI-524 wireless access point to a Linksys SR2024 switch and have the following problems:
If I connect a CAT 5 cable from a SR2024 port to the DI-524 WLAN port I can't connect to the Internet nor access the DI-524 GUI over IP address 192.168.0.1.
If I connect the CAT 5 cable from a SR2024 port to port 1 - 4 on the DI-524 I can connect to the Internet but can't access the DI-524 GUI over IP address 192.168.0.1 which I need to configure a couple of wireless network cameras.
Is the switch assigning an internal IP address for the DI-524?
BTW, I'm not clear whether the SR2024 is an unmanaged switch.
Thanks in advance for any clarification.

Hi Stephan,
The IP address of the Dl-524 should be the default gateway on you PC. Do a ipconfig on you PC and see what is the default gateway and then type that in the URL of your browser.

Hi Reza,
yes, the IP address of the Dl-524 is the default gateway on my Linux box (in this case 192.168.2.1). However, this IP address doesn't let me access the DI-524 GUI to configure other devices on the wireless access point instead it points me to an empty directory. The default IP address of the DI-524 is 192.168.0.1 but if the device is connected to the SR2024 I can't access it (unreachable IP address).
Any ideas?

Stephan,
How about if you put a static IP address in the same subnet as the default dl-524. (192.168.0.2). So your Linux box 192.168.0.2 and Dl-524 192.168.0.1 and try again
