One of our Cisco 9300L switches keeps showing this error:
%PM-4-ERR_DISABLE: loopback error detected on Gi2/0/5, putting Gi2/0/5 in err-disable state
%PLATFORM_PM-3-LOOP_BACK_DETECTED: Loop-back detected on GigabitEthernet2/0/5
This port is our WAN Internet port
When this port goes down there is no communication and I have to do shut, no shut to the port to fix it.
I ran the command: errdisable recovery cause all
(so that it will be automatically recover after entering err-disable)
Port configuration:
interface GigabitEthernet2/0/5

switchport access vlan 400
switchport mode access
SW#show interfaces GigabitEthernet 2/0/5

loopback error detected on Gi2/0/5<<- loopback is test by port to detect loop, there is Loop in your network
check the STP
and please disable atuo-recovery of err-disable to see the all interface effect by Loop.
if it only WAN port
then this issue not from your side it from SP side, call them and explain to them Loop issue.
note:- are you run l2vpn between Site to Site??

STP is disabled , do i need to enable it?
I disabled auto-recovery of err-disable to monitor ports when it will down again.
The switch connected to Fortigate firewall , firewall configured with VPN Site-to sites IPSec
What else i can do?
Thanks

FW is L3 and SW L2, IF LINK IS DIRECT CONNECT
loopback detect issue
that lead me to duplex issue
can you check the duplex in both side ??
