MDS 9513 MGMT0 interface not passing any data

On my MDS 9513 MGMT0 interface i cannot ping anything apart from my own IP address. I cant even ping anything on my own subnet.

The interface connection is showing as up up and is not displaying any errors and does not have a speed/duplex mismatch. can anyone shed some light on this issue for me?

Make sure you have configured default gateway. You need to explicitly configure a default gateway to connect to the switch and send IP packets or add a route for each subnet. The management port (mgmt0) is autosensing and operates in full duplex mode at a speed of 10/100/1000 Mbps. Autosensing supports both the speed and the duplex mode. On a Supervisor-1 module, the default speed is 100 Mbps and the default duplex mode is auto. On a Supervisor-2 module, the default speed is auto and the default duplex mode is auto.
