MDS deprecated?

I've never worked anywhere in multiple theaters abroad that use MDS switches. Is it deprecated?

I noticed Cisco dumped it from their concentration exam. Did direct attached storage via the FI's take over? 

I just feel like I'm wasting my time. Any thoughts?

If I'm not mistaken, it all ended on 01/Feb/2023

Is direct attached storage to the FI's the defacto standard moving forward?

I spoke to a sales rep. MDS is still strong. The exams were shifted for more focus on ACI and programmability. Not sure where that link came from or are just older models perhaps
