HI,
I am looking for a switch with the following requirement,
1. It should accomodate 6 GLC-FE-100LX ports and 7 10/100 ports plus one 1 Gigabit LX/LH port.
As per my knowledge the cheapest option I have to fulfill the above requirement would be a ME-3400G-12CS-A switch.
Kindly let me know if this switch could support the above port requirement as well as whether this can integrate in my environment as distribution level switch integrating with normal 3750, 4500 and 2960 switches.
Thanks and Regards
Puneet

Hello Puneet,
support for GLC-FE-100 starts with releases 12.2(25)SEG1 and 12.2(44)SE see table4 in the following:
for GE GLC see talbe 3 of the doc:
With the right IOS image you should be fine.
You should also be able to integrate it with current switches.
Hope to help
Giuseppe

Hello Giuseppe,
Thanks for the prompt reply.
Just to reconfirm ,
I can have 6 modules of GLC-FE-100LX and one GLC-LH-SM and 6 10/100 copper ports in single ME-3400G-12CS-A.
plus it can integrate with non metro ethernet switches without any issues.
kindly reconfirm. I am just having fear that the switch might not integrate with non metro ethernet switches.
