mirroring interface 'line up protocol down'

when the traffic comes into the mirroring interface(so called the span destination port),

the traffic is forwarding to other direction? reference system routing table?

when I show interface the mirroring interface, I found the inbound rate from neighbor device. It just only forwarding(outbound) interface

because of span configuration that port.

any thought?

Hi,

Once SPAN is configured, the Span port will be up/down state, this port is only placed to recieve a copy of the desired traffic and is not used to forward any traffic outpound, so you shall see incoming traffic rate increases whenever you issue the (show interface xx) command of the span port.
