Mixing Power Supply wattage on Cat4500E?

Hi all,

I'm planning to change the power supplies on an Cat4500E chassis from 1300W (redundanty) to 2800W (redundanty).

Can I mix the two types of PSU's  (keep the switch online during the swapping) or do I need to shutdown the chassis and change both?

You can change the power supply one at a time but you can't leave two different power supplies for long because the system will "error-disable" one of the two.

But if the new one (2800w) is going err-disable, the old one (1300w) can not be changed without power off the swich, right?
