MLS dual network card incorporation

Hello

I'm incorporating a technique into our network that uses a dual slot network card. The driver of these cards also makes it so that both NICs have the same MAC. both of the network cards are linked to a cicso 4500 catalyst switch. the link works however I get the error alert: MLS-4-moreoverflow. The switch recognizes the two as a looped mac by two different devices. I was wondering how to fix this problem or obtain documention for this problem.

I wonder if it would work when you configure the two switchports as an Etherchannel, effectively making both ports appear as one link. Can you try and add the following to both switchports:

channel-group 1 mode desirable

I have no equipment to test this configuration on...can you try and see if this works ?
