Hi All,
I have a 6509 with VS-S720-10GE-3C engines but without any IOS. My plan is to use the xmodem to load the IOS and once it is up, copy the IOS to bootflash via tftp. I have already loaded the IOS but unable to tftp it in as all the modules, but 1 (fibre module), are not detected.
Do let me know what info do you need in order to resolve the issue.
Thank you,
Aizat

I have pulled out and re-inserted a few times today. Still the same results.
Can you contact Cisco TAC and request for an RMA. I think the supervisor card is faulty.

Hi All,
Found the solution and would like to share to those who might face it in future.
Fyi, mine are decomm switches and apparently, cisco mentioned in Field Notes that the components would degrade. I have swapped with working components, based from the table in the link below and the modules can be detected.

Thanks guys for assisting me too. Have a good day.

What IOS image have you loaded via xmodem? After having loaded this IOS, what does "show module" output?
Even if only a fiber line card is detected, you should at least be able to use the third (RJ45) GbE port on the SUP to transfer files to and from your laptop for example...
