Monitoring GRE tunnel to ensure consistent connectivity between 9300

Hi there,

I'm planning on creating GRE tunnels between 2 remote sites. I can ensure IP connectivity, end to end with this GRE tunnel, but what is the best way to monitor this connection to see for any loss of connectivity? We're hoping that we can capture even the smallest drops in this link. Now that we've create a 1 hop connection over GRE, can I add in BFD to monitor this link? We initially wanted to use BFD, however it was more than 1 hop away before GRE.

Thanks

No need bfd' you can use gre keepalive

Add keepalive under gre tunnel.

MHM

I believe that should be very useful, looking into it, I can set the keepalive parameters to be up to the standards that I need for this scenario. If I have anymore questions before or after implementation, I'll get back to you

Thanks again!
