Most recent IOS for WS-C2960-24TT-L

Hi,

we are a smal company and our WS-C2960-24TT-L Switch is running with a very old IOS 12.2(25)SEE3 and I would like to update the IOS. I am wondering which IOS i can use. The Cisco webpage recomends 15.01.1-SE3 but I am not sure and I dont want to kill our Main Switch

What would you recomend?

From what I have seen on the forum people seem to like 15.02 better then 15.01 for 2960 series if you have enough space in your flash

You have two choices.

12.2(55)SE7 is probably THE most stable IOS around.

Another potential candidate is 15.0(2)SE2 (not SE, not SE1, but SE2).

Take note, you're upgrading the IOS from 12.2(25)SEE.  This means that whatever IOS you're going to use after 12.2(50)SE, the bootstrap of the appliance will get upgraded, whether you like it or not.

This is done so automatically so you'll see your appliance reboot TWICE.  First reboot is to upgrade the bootstrap and the second reboot loads the new IOS you're going to use.

Have I ran into any issues with the bootstrap upgrade?  NEVER.
