Hi, Two PC are in the same subnet and can ping each other. In the first PC, there are two VLC media player. One VLC is used as sender, and another is used as receiver. The two VCL can work well, which means that the receiver can receive the video multicast from the sender. But the VLC in second PC cannot receive the video. Any one can give some suggestion? Thank you
I did configuration based on the link:

What kind of switch are they plugged into, and what is the multicast configuration on that switch?

Thank you so much for your reply. At first, I used vmware connection for the two PC. As it did not work, I am using switch 3560 to connect two PC at the same subnet. I just configured switch port as access mode and access the same vlan. but it still cannot work. Maybe VLC configuring issue. Can we use a tool to confirm where multicast traffic already arrive at?
I compared my config with that link above. I found a little differnece, but I am not sure it is the reason. That link mentioned it needs to use “Video H.264 + MP3 (MP4)”, but in my VLC, i do not find it, so I use a similar one, which is Video - H.265 + MP3(MP4). Please see the picture attached. Thank you

You have to use the same codec!

What you mean is that sender and receiver need to use the same codec, right?
We just need to set up the address (ip address and port#, which is the same with the sender) in the receiver based on the protocol no matter what codec the sender use. so we cannot control the codec in the receiver side.

Please make sure your Multicast config is good.
If you can test the other multicast third party tool(Multicast hammer) check if the traffic of multicast is flowing good between the pc.
Coming to the this peakdrive config of vlc make sure you are using the correct syntax including the comma, space or any special character all that maters in this to work. I had configured it on the gns and it had worked fine for me without any issue.
