multiple OSPF processes and Cisco 3750

I have a 3750 switch stack (Z) at a remote site connected to two 6500 switches (R and P) at two locations over P2P links. I am running multiple OSPF proceses on R and P. I can see the ospf neighorship being established on all switches (R,P,Z) and I can see switch Z receiving routes from switch R but I do not see any routes being advertised by Z towards R. Z is advertising routes to P fine. (Please see the attachments for design and config)

Could anyone suggest anything? Could this be related to IOS version/licening on 3750s? Following is the licening information fro 3750s

Switch   Ports            Model                           SW Version                  SW Image

------        -----              -----                               ----------                          ----------

*    1        54          WS-C3750E-48PD          12.2(35)SE5             C3750E-UNIVERSAL-M

     2        54          WS-C3750E-48PD          12.2(35)SE5             C3750E-UNIVERSAL-M

License Level : ipservices

License Type : Permanent

Thanks,

This shouldn't be license related,i guess...If something is not available on a particular license, switch will not even allow you to configure that.

Hi Muhammad

So here Switch P is receiving the route 192.168.0.0/16 from Switch Z fine but Switch R is not receiving

the route 192.168.0.0/16 from Switch Z. is that correct. How is the OSPF Database looking on Switch R & P.

Can you please share ouput of below on Switch R & P to look further:

sh ip route ospf

sh ip ospf database advertising router 1.1.1.1

sh ip ospf database router advertising router 1.1.1.1

Hi Muhammad

I am not able to find out any significant difference in the LSDB between two which would cause the issue.

Still I would like to see your full config of the 3 switches once for OSPF Parameters and the relevant Interface config. Is it possible for you to post the same. Did you try reloading the OSPF on R  once and see if it resolves the issue.

Well if this is not a production network and a test environment can you issue  "debug ip ospf spf" and "debug ip routing" on R during the reload.

Hope someone provides a better insight into this interesting issue to reach a resolution.

Regards

Varma
