Last night one of my cutomers lost in band management to a IE-3000-8TC.
After hooking up a PC to the console this was found in the log
*Jun 12 10:18:50.095: %CLS_ACC-2-SETUP_BTN_PRS: setup/admin button pressed
*Jun 12 10:18:50.095: %CLS_ACC-2-MODE_ENTERED: Entering consoleless access mode DIRECT MGMT

So it looks like someone have pressed and held the setup/mode button for 5 sec causing the switch to go into setup express mode.
From what I can remember you can not get into setup express in a catalyst switch if the switch is already configured. At least in releases after 12.2(50)SE.
The second thing that confuses both my customer and me is that this switch is locked inside a cabinet and the mode button on the IE-3000-8TC is hissen inside behind a small hole and you need a folded out paper clip or something like that to get to it.
Right now they are manually setting "no setup express" as default in all their configs just to be sure this wont happen again
Do anyone know if one should be to activate setup express on a EI-3000 with 12.2(55)SE that is configured?
