why you looking to do, what is the use case ?  Yes you can do as long the config validated.

There is a command for it:

copy tftp:<file> startup-config

Hi,

the reason for this is because when i try to save the config on the device it fails. TAC have looked at it and said i need to do a reboot

ok i can understand, show run copy the config to notepad and save it and reload as suggested by TAC
