I have cisco ME3600X-24FS-M running a metro IP access image (me360x-universalk9-mz.122-52.EY4). there is need to enable NAT services on the device but i discovered that it has limited NAT functionality. It has no support for STATIC NAT and NAT POOL. Again, even with NAT overload (PAT), it still does not function as expected. A laptop physically connected on the same VLAN and subnet as the inside interface does not get translated. but a ping test to the internet (OUTSIDE) sourced from the actual inside interface on the ME3600X gets translated. I find this intriguing. Any ideas on how to resolve this ?
