NCS1K-2KW-AC-CBL power cord for C906R switch

Hello,

I would like to check if it's possible to use NCS1K-2KW-AC-CBL power cord for Cisco Catalyst 9600 Series 2000W AC Power Supply to utilize 208V input voltage. The power cord is not listed on the main webpage for North America cords but it looks like it has been used in some deployments for the C9606R.

Thanks,

Shadi A

Hi Shadi,

Yes, that makes sense. The cable is basically L6-20 to C15. L6-20 plugs into the receptacle and C15 into the power supply.

Here is a picture of the cord:

Hi Shadi,

For what country? The cord you posted here is not available in the datasheet. So, it will not work.

If you are in the US, the power cord is this

CAB-TA-NA

See table-14 in this link:

Hi Reza,

This is for the US. I understand that the cord shown in the datasheet is CAB-TA-NA. However, this only works on 120V. The receptacles I have for the project are 208V and would need the other cable but i'm not sure if the cable listed above will work.

Thanks,

Shadi

Hi Shadi,

That is a 120V power supply. Don't plug it into a 208V receptacle. To remedy this, you can get a PDU and plug it to the 208V receptacle and then plug the switch to a 120V outlet on the PDU.

Just to add to this: If the PSU is 110/220 then you should be ok plugging it into a 208V. You just need the right power cord to match the receptacle and the PSU but remember the PSU side has a special cut as shown in figure-1 in this link:

Hi Reza,

Based on the specs in the attached image, it looks like the power supply is 115/230V so I can use a 208V source as long as I use the correct cable for this. I have found this cable (NCS1K-2KW-AC-CBL) which works with 208V receptacle and gives an output of IEC60320/C15 for the power supply.

Does that make sense?

Thanks,

Shadi
