Hi guys,
I have two cisco small business SG-300- 52 port switches and two Linksys SRW 2048- 48port switch in our comp. where when iam trying to access these switches through console by hyper terminal i can see the login page where i couldnt configure anything there. tried a lot to get the CLI based command line where iam much familiar to configure even i tried to access these through telnet but could nt succeed.
i can access these all switches through webased (192.168.1.254) on internet explorer . i could get the GUI based access . where again im not familiar with GUI
As Because im going to deploy a new switch 3750g with the 20 vlans, make it DHCP server i need to enable VTP.
My question is
1. Are These switches can be accessed through CLI (command line prompt) ?
if so how ? or they dont have the option of CLI mode of configuration
Waiting for your reply
thanks and regards
Srikanth

Although the Cisco 300 Series is designed to be deployed without using a command-line interface (CLI), Cisco Textview is available for those who prefer to use text-based configuration.
Cisco Textviewis Scriptable command-line interface. A full CLI as well as a menu-based CLI is supported on 300 series switches.

Hi Srikanth,
what version of the firmware is your 300 series switch running?
If it is 1.1 or later, then I think you may find the post on a similar discussion which I have attached below very helpful.

Hi,
If you enable ssh management using the GUI and configure an ip address for the Linksys, It should allow you connect to ssh to it and use the cli management.
There is a detailed illustration which is in the weblog below and I hope you find it helpful ;
Thanks
