Need help to console in Cisco Cat 5000 w/Sup I

I really need help. Purchased used Cisco Catalyst 5000 with Supervisor 1 card. It has a db25 female connection to console in. I don't have the cable for it so I'm trying to make one. I already have the db25 (male)to rj45 adapter, a rollover cable, and db9 (female) to rj45. I want to use my older laptop which has db9 male port on it. Can I do this with these cables and adapters? Hello,

I think you just need a straight cable to connect the DB25 to the DB9 on your PC.

Here are the pinouts (scroll down to Table D-1):

Did you mean D-2? The D-1 table is for db-25(DCE) to db-25 (DTE). It looks like D-2 is the one. One last question.. I don't understand the xmit and send. Colors work better for me. Would you know this pin layout by colors?
